As the Show Director of Aqua Action! on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, I set out to create something that had never been done before—a heart-pounding, full-throttle aquatic spectacle that redefines what entertainment at sea can be. Housed in a futuristic, purpose-built aqua dome, the show explodes with 180-degree projections, a massive rain curtain, soaring fountains, and jaw-dropping stunts. We packed it with high dives, 3D flying, slack-line, four massive robots, a half-pipe, and the edge-of-your-seat Wheel of Wow—all set on a seven-piece water stage that moves beneath the performers’ feet. With a cast of Olympic-level divers, dancers and world-class circus artists, Aqua Action! delivers an adrenaline-fueled experience that hits harder than anything you’ve ever seen on land or sea.
